FIVES DTS is looking to hire a Controls Technician for opportunities with an industrial manufacturing company in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities
  • Reads and understands electronic and electrical schematics
  • Maintain and troubleshoot software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems
  • Analyzes and interprets data from solid-state motor drives and controllers scope meters and other troubleshooting equipment
  • Perform Allen Bradley (AB) PLC control level issue diagnostics using ladder logic and industry common HMI
Qualifications
  • Proficient working knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens plc's/controls/protocols platforms is required
  • Experience and proficiency in the following areas: Automated conveyors systems and controls, Electrical and electronic principles, Blueprint and electrical schematic reading, Knowledge of CMMS programs, Preventative maintenance procedures, Industrial electrical, Industrial controls, Industrial Electronics, Industrial PC literacy
  • 4 years’ experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (Required)
  • Ability to work all days and shifts, including overtime (24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation, including holidays)
  • Employee must be willing to be on call to support production needs
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology, or Related (Required)
