When your company has a long-term staffing need, direct hire is the ideal solution. Direct hire roles are permanent positions within your company. DTS will partner with you to source and provide highly qualified candidates, but once the interview process is complete and the selected candidate has accepted your employment offer, the candidate will go directly on your company’s payroll and will be eligible for your company’s benefits. 

The direct hire process tends to be a bit slower than contract or contract-to-hire staffing because, when making a permanent hiring decision, there are often multiple interviews and more thought put into evaluating a candidate’s cultural fit and the alignment of a their career goals with your company’s objectives. In this staffing scenario, DTS acts as an extension of your company during the recruiting process conveying your organization’s vision and mission as well as the goals and performance objectives you have established for the position with potential candidates.

The Direct Hire Process Explained

The direct hire process starts with a job order intake call or meeting between your hiring manager(s) and a DTS account manager dedicated to your organization. In this initial conversation our goal is to learn your business inside and out as well as some more specifics that go beyond the job description for the position you are looking to fill. 

Once everyone is on the same page, our talented recruiting team will begin to source and engage potential candidates. Qualified candidates are then identified and prescreened by the recruiter and the account manager and we will present them to your company’s hiring managers for review. When you have selected the candidates you would like to interview, we will coordinate and schedule the interviews accordingly. 

Upon selecting a candidate for the role, your HR team will draft an offer letter for said candidate and it’s up to you whether you would like to present your offer directly to the candidate or you would like us to handle it. Upon offer acceptance, you will establish a start date with your new employee and we will ensure they’re prepared for their first day ready to hit the ground running!

 DTS offers all of its clients a 90-Day Guarantee on direct hire placements. If for whatever reason the candidate you selected doesn’t work out and leaves your company within 90 days after their start date, DTS will refill the position for you free of charge or provide a full refund.
