HVAC/Plumbing Designer
Description
FIVES DTS is looking to hire a HVAC/Plumbing Designer for opportunities with a construction engineering company in Toledo, OH.
Responsibilities
- Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices for primarily plumbing design along with experience in HVAC design in the Commercial, Healthcare and Education industries
- Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments with the overall responsibility for budget adherence, quality control and inter-discipline coordination
- Produces finished plans and specifications and final acceptance or rejection of submittals
- Completes design work on engineering/architectural projects ranging from small to large scope
- Serves as a job captain on single discipline projects
- May devise new approaches and solutions to problems encountered and communicate them to the team
- May represent the firm in meetings and conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate a project
- Travel required
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required (May be waived for international assignments)
- PE or PE-tracked preferred, with five (5) or more years of related practical experience with former employer(s) required
- Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) preferred.Proficiency in REVIT required
- Ten (10) or more years experience with former employer(s)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
