Mechanical Piping Designer
Description
FIVES DTS is looking to hire a Mechanical Piping Designer for opportunities with a construction engineering company in Freeport, TX.
Responsibilities
- Primary focus will be 3D piping design and process general arrangement
- Mechanical systems design and equipment integration
- Secondary focus on equipment layout and material handling
Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design and piping systems required
- Previous HVAC design experience is a plus
- Must have experience in preparing packages for contractor quotations or fabrication
- Working knowledge of fabrication and construction techniques
- Former fabrication or construction experience is a plus
- Must be experienced in general arrangements and equipment layouts
- Prior experience and working knowledge of piping design in Autodesk Plant3D required
- Experience in other packages such as Revit, would be an asset
- Must be organized, have a positive attitude and utilize good communication skills
- Must work well in a team environment yet be able to work independently and coordinate with others
- Experience in working with point clouds is a plus
Education
- Associates degree in related field preferred
