FIVES DTS is looking to hire a Structural Engineer for opportunities with a construction engineering company in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities
  • Travel 10%, usually within a few hours of the office, throughout the mid-west but could potentially travel nation-wide
  • Understanding fundamentals of live/dead/wind/ice loads, load combinations, codes, and how they are applied
  • Responsible for the design and documentation for civil/structural engineering projects
  • Participate in field survey and construction administration in evaluating project sites
  • Draft/Design utilizing AutoCAD
  • Review, research, and apply construction and engineering codes, standards, and building construction requirements per local, state, and federal regulation
Qualifications
  • 3D modeling experience highly preferred in RISA 3D, STAAD, etc.
    • Tower analysis experience a plus
  • Must have professional project experience in steel, concrete, foundations, and Geotech
  • AutoCAD experience required
  • Bluebeam experience highly preferred
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology required
    • Would consider Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
